My research is dedicated to comprehending the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) on high-entropy alloys and nitrate reduction reaction (NO3RR) on transition metals at the atomic scale. I aim to gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental reaction mechanisms involved in the electrochemical OER and NO3RR, particularly for realistic solid/ liquid interfaces under applied bias conditions. To achieve this, I combine density functional theory calculations and ab initio molecular dynamic simulations.

My project is a part of the research initiative "DIMENSION” – determining materials for energy conversion – which is funded from the Mercator Research Center Ruhr.
